Where oak ageing is carried out in the vineyard it is done in large barrels rather than barrique, as Michelle wants the natural grape flavours to dominate. Robust and jammy, with hints of tobacco, mocha and supple, dark berry fruit. Try with pizza, sausage and tomato based sauce dishes or simply on its own; the versatility of this wine is one of its most appealing traits!
